ABOUT

Hi there, I’m Sol. I help people who are struggling during times of transition or adjustment (starting or ending a relationship, career growth and shift, becoming a parent, losing a loved one, etc...) to find balance, feel connected to themselves, and live in alignment with their values.

I work from an existential therapy framework, which means I believe that we should be asking ourselves the hard questions often—Am I happy? Am I living my life in a way that reflects my values and goals? Is this job/relationship/situation helping to support me in those goals, or putting more distance between me and them? I think existential “crises” often bring about excellent opportunities. I support those who want to move forward but don’t know how so that they can find what makes them truly happy, instead of  what’s “supposed to.”

Both in my private practice and in my work at the prestigious UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, I have seen significant growth in my clients and I firmly believe that change is possible.

As a therapist, I have found many ways to help people learn to be more present, connected and fulfilled. I have provided therapy to children, adolescents and adults, served as adjunct professor of psychology to master's level students, and presented workshops and talks on transitions, grief and loss, and various other topics. I hope to keep finding new ways to connect with people who want to see themselves grow!
